My personal approach to translation process

    Business English
Sometimes I feel that business English is a separate language. It contains endless idioms, cliché and specific grammar constructions. Changes rarely take place in business English, so an ordinary translator, who doesn’t work with business documentation on a regular basis, will definitely have to cope with multiple difficulties translating a simple enquiry or order.
After graduation from university I have worked as a foreign-trade manager, so I can provide proper translation of your documents.

    Informal English
I always try to train different "types" of language in order to make my speech/translation more flexible and appropriate for each situation. Before starting a translation I ask myself, what result should I get? Should the translated text be an official one or informal one, should I use technical/economic/juristic terms, who will be a primary reader?
    F. ex., teenagers won’t read an entertaining article, written in formal language that is why informal English is very important for any translator who wants to deliver quality.
Here I need to thank my English speaking friends as their letters help me to understand modern informal language better. Also communication is a great way to understand different cultures and keep this in mind during translation.

    Literary English
I’m not going to advertise myself, telling that I’m a gifted person and good at translating poems into English :)
For me the process of learning any foreign language is impossible without reading books in original. English literature is a real treasure where anyone can find a book that will perfectly suit one’s taste. Jane Austin, William Shakespeare, Charlotte Bronte, Edgar Allan Poe, Theodore Dreiser, John Galsworthy, O. Henry, Arthur Conan Doyle, Agatha Christie – seems, I can speak of my favorite writers endlessly. Also I enjoy writing poems in English, so I don’t think, I can find any difficulties translating a novel, essay or book review.

    Technical English
Information systems subject is for sure my biggest hobby, my love and my current job. The knowledge of HTML, CSS and PHP allows me saying with confidence – I am pretty good at translating texts in technical English as well as in script, website, template, CMS translation.
Do you need any proofs? Just look at translated text in my “examples” section. Actually, this website is a good proof itself – I’ve made it by myself :)
